The Assistant Director of Research and Scholarly Activity will provide local leadership, guidance, and support to students and employees at the Rocky Vista University (RVU) - Montana campus, fostering a culture of research excellence. This position will focus on mentoring and supporting research on the RVU Montana campus while collaborating closely with the Vice Provost for Research and Scholarly Activity (RSA) and other members of the RSA office. The Assistant Director of Research and Scholarly Activity will oversee the day-to-day operations of research and scholarly activity on the RVU-Montana campus. Responsibilities will include training and mentoring employees and students at all levels, managing the wet lab resources, including training on equipment and equipment maintenance. Additionally, the Assistant Director will be responsible for budget planning and management, strategic planning and implementation, assessment, and overseeing accreditation processes and compliance for the RVU-Montana campus.. Through proactive leadership and both internal and external partnerships, the Assistant Director will play a key role in advancing the research mission of RVU locally and system wide.
Under the supervision of the AP Supervisor, the Payroll and Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for the bi-weekly Payroll process as well as various Accounts Payable duties. The Payroll and Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for preparing and processing weekly and bi-weekly payrolls. Updates employee payroll records and processes changes, including rate and title changes, changes to direct deposit accounts and tax withholdings. AP functions include processing various payment requests and reimbursements, weekly check runs, and maintaining vendor and contract files.
The Administrative Assistant will have responsibilities for working with the Assistant Director of Research and Scholarly Activity at MCOM, the research coordinator and under the direction of the Principal investigator of the grant of contract and/or the Vice Provost for Research and Scholarly Activity. While the Principal Investigator of the grant/contract is primarily responsible for the overall design, conduct, and management of the research, the Administrative Assistant supports, facilitates and coordinates the daily grant/contract activities and plays a necessary role in the recruitment of the participants and the conduct of the study. Additionally, the Administrative Assistant will also maintain a detailed spreadsheet of budget expenditures and create reports for the sponsor under the direction of the PI. Part of the administrative assistant's time may also be devoted to helping the MCOM Assistant Director of Research and Scholarly Activity.
The Medical Assistant is responsible to perform a variety of health care functions to prepare patients and assist physicians in providing health care to patients. This position will assist with scheduling patient appointments, verifying insurance, obtaining patient medical history.

The military medicine program associate director will preferably be located on the Utah campus and co-coordinate the development, implementation, delivery, and assessment of military medicine-related curriculum throughout all four years of medical student training. The faculty member mentors and advocates for student participants in the Health Professions Scholarship Program (HPSP). Provideors administrative support to the Military Medicine program director and the program students on both Colorado and Utah campuses. Initiates, coordinates, directs original research, support other projects and activities directly related to the Military Medicine Program.
To serve as facultyin the Department of Primary Care Medicine through participation in teaching, service, scholarly activities, and clinical work at RVUCOM-Utah. This position primarily entails teaching clinical medicine skills to first- and second-year medical students in small group settings, as well as lab, lecture, and one-on-one instruction. Although PCM faculty are encouraged/welcome to participate in clinical practice, the primary responsibilities for this position are in a classroom setting teaching physical exam skills, history taking, critical thinking, medical procedures, and interpersonal skills.
