SALARY:

 

$20.00 - $22.75 per hour, the posted salary range represents the minimum to the midpoint within RVU’s compensation plan. RVU’s full compensation structure provides a minimum to a maximum range.  The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill, knowledge, experience, education, and credentials.

Primary Purpose

Our MSBS program is seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant to become part of our growing team. We are looking for an individual with outstanding organizational and communication skills who is a natural team player. The duties essential to this position include the ability to multi-task and problem solve, while maintaining complex calendars, and providing support to the Program Director, faculty, and students. Attention to detail, proficiency with Microsoft Office products, and the ability to meet deadlines are ideal for success in this position.

Essential Job Functions

  • Schedule, attend, and take minutes for assigned MSBS meetings.
  • Maintain master calendar for the MSBS Program.
  • File check requests, expense reports, and travel reimbursements as needed.
  • Arrange catering for meetings and events: including planning, set-up and take-down of events.
  • Assist with preparation of documents and maintenance of records for compliance and accreditation.
  • Revise and maintain master list of MSBS rosters and groups each semester.
  • Provide cross-coverage for other staff as needed.
  • Provide administrative assistance to the Program Director as needed.
  • Work cooperatively with members of the MSBS Program - on the CO & UT campuses.
  • Answer phones, route calls, schedule appointments, and set up meetings.
  • Manage traffic in faculty suite.
  • Other duties and administrative tasks as assigned by the Program Director or designee.

Marginal Job Functions

  • Assist administration, faculty and staff with special projects as needed.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Outstanding organizational and communication skills.
  • Intermediate level of computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and problem-solve innovatively.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based academic environment.
  • Demonstrate effective time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • One (1) year of previous experience in an administrative assistant position, or equivalent training.
  • Ability to learn new software programs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Some related college experience.
  • Professional background or experience in education is helpful.
  • Experience with a learning management system helpful.
