SALARY:

 

$23.25 - $27.50+ per hour, the posted salary range represents the minimum to the midpoint within RVU’s compensation plan. RVU’s full compensation structure provides a minimum to a maximum range.  The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill, knowledge, experience, education, and credentials.

Primary Purpose

The Continuing Medical Education Coordinator provides operational support to ensure accreditation of the Continuing Medical Education program in compliance with the American Osteopathic Association (AOA). To help the Department of Clinical Education with meeting planning activities involving the clinical faculty both inside and outside the confines of the school. Organize and implement Pre-Clinical Mentorship Program with volunteer preceptors.

Essential Job Functions

  • Help coordinate and submit reports on CME activities for preceptors and RVU Faculty as well, on or off RVU campus.
  • Maintain an accurate database and activities files for all CME activities at RVU.
  • Maintenance and tracking of CME credit hours, including preparing reports.
  • Request approval for all and any CME presentations prior to program to ensure that all enduring materials are in accordance with CME guidelines.
  • Oversees and executes all CME accreditation procedures.
  • Provide expertise in meeting planning and coordination for the Department of Clinical Education.
  • Coordinate all and any Hospital Day functions.
  • Coordinate Events for the Department of Clinical Education.
  • Organize and implement Pre-Clinical Mentorship Program with volunteer preceptors.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Four (4) - six (6) years Professional experience working in and managing a database.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Experience in working with CME.
  • Work experience in meeting planning.
  • Experience working in a College of Osteopathic Medicine.
  • Experience and training in Osteopathic Continuing Medical Education.
  • Experience certifying and reporting Osteopathic CME Hours.
