SALARY:

 

$20.00-$22.75+ per hour, the posted salary range represents the minimum to the midpoint within RVU’s compensation plan. RVU’s full compensation structure provides a minimum to a maximum range.  The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill, knowledge, experience, education, and credentials.

Primary Purpose

Performs, coordinates, and provides support through a variety of tasks to support the COM's Anatomical Sciences & OPP Departments.

Essential Job Functions

  • Assists Chairs/Vice Chairs of the Department of Anatomical Sciences & OPP and provides support for all faculty within these departments with appointments and correspondence.
  • Works closely with the Administrative Assistant on the other campus under the direction of the Coordinator for Anatomical Sciences & OPP for completion of duties.
  • Creates course modules in LMS for Anatomical Sciences & OPP. a. Organize the schedules within LMS to match the calendar b. Post lectures, faculty handouts and reading material for all faculty in the department c. Creates assignments/posts grades for Anatomical Sciences & OPP.
  • Assists with scheduling department meetings.
  • Assist in arranging travel and lodging logistics.
  • Acts as recording Secretary at meetings scheduled for Department activities in Anatomical Sciences & OPP.
  • Coordinates communication between OPP and anatomy faculty and adjuncts for availability for labs and competency exams.
  • Creates and prepares OPP and anatomy lab groups for first and second year students. a. Post weekly lab assignments for students to view.
  • Coordinates all sessions for 1-on-1 labs and Competency exams. a. Creates assignments in LMS for students to use for their SOAP notes.
  • Coordinates OPP exam review sessions, and helps course directors make necessary corrections to test questions.
  • Provides support to the OPP and Anatomy Fellows. a. Coordinates all data entry for the Fellows research projects. b. Coordinates the department graduation dinner and gifts for graduating Fellows. c. Assists in the interview process for the upcoming fellowship applicants.
  • Organizes and prepares lab and practical exam groups for Anatomical Sciences.
  • Orders all office supplies for the Department, which include lab coats for the Anatomical Sciences department and OPP Faculty for clinical activities and the White Coat Ceremony.
  • Performs general clerical duties, such as answering the phone, maintaining files, completing reports, and performing limited typing or related duties. a. Properly maintains student personnel files, and observes all confidentiality requirements. b. Accurately types, proofreads and corrects letters, forms and other Student related documents.

  • Assist administration, faculty, and staff in special projects as needed.
  • Participate in community and professional outreach activities on behalf of the college and university.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Demonstrate advanced skill level or higher data entry knowledge and computer skills including Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Four (4) years previous clerical experience including secretarial/clerical position required or equivalent training.
  • Ability to learn new software programs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Professional background or experience in academic environment.
