$18.94-$23.65 + per year the posted salary range represents the minimum to the midpoint within RVU’s compensation plan.   RVU’s full compensation structure provides a minimum to a maximum range.  The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill, knowledge, experience, education, and credentials.




RVU offers a full benefits package that includes Health, Dental and Vision insurance, along with 2 weeks accrued paid vacation days per year, 12 accrued sick days per year, personal days, 13 ½ paid holidays and 401(K) match up to 7% based on employee’s contribution. A hybrid work model with remote flexibility is also available for eligible positions.

Primary Purpose

The purpose of this position is to oversee the administrative activities of the Physician Assistant Program. This includes, but is not limited to, planning, implementing, and evaluating day-to-day operations within the program such as maintaining accurate records, compiling and reporting program survey data,  supporting PA faculty and adjunct faculty in classroom coordination, providing general administrative support to the team.

Essential Job Functions

  1. Oversee office operations for the Physician Assistant (PA) Program
    • Manage communications through phone, email, and in-person interactions
    • Ensure technology is available, and adequate for all presentations/meetings
  2. Plan and schedule program events in collaboration with program and institutional members, including, but not limited to:
    • Meetings with the program director
    • New student orientatio
    • Admissions
    • Wite coat ceremony
    • Commencement
    • Advising sessions with faculty
    • Securing catering for events, where necessary
  3. Support planning and coordination of the PA program didactic curriculum
    • Maintain student academic records according to program and institutional policy and create reports or proposals
    • Coordinate PA student calendars, including room scheduling, in compliance with institutional policy
    • Coordinate student course scheduling, auditing, and grade entry with PA program faculty and the Office of the Registrar
    • Build, distribute, collect and compile course and faculty teaching evaluations
    • Provide course-related support to PA faculty and adjunct faculty, including use of the learning management system
    • Provide support in tracking student progression
  4. Coordinate distribution, collection, and analysis of program surveys in collaboration with the program’s data and project management team
  5. Develop and implement systems to track and report budgets including, but not limited to:
    • Supplies (office, and classroom)
    • Use of adjunct and external speakers
  6. Organize and schedule program meetings and maintain agendas
    • Take and maintain accurate meeting minutes
  7. Arrange travel for faculty, staff, and external guests, if necessary
  8. Maintain a cleanly work environment
  9. Support and build positive relations within the team and external parties
  10. Support program accreditation activities

  1. Proven experience as an office coordinator or relevant position.

  3. Knowledge of program management procedures.
  4. Proven independent decision-making and judgement, creativity in problem-solving; ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  5. Ability to synthesize materials and make recommendations to appropriate parties.
  6. Tech savvy, proficient in MS office suite of products.
  7. Ability to work with diverse and multi-disciplinary teams.
  8. Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
  9. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  10. Detail-oriented and efficient.
  11. Knowledge and understanding of higher education and policies related to confidentiality.
  12. Strong work ethic.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. BSc/BA in business administration or equivalent combination of education and academic-related experience. 

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Master’s degree in business administration, public health or relevant field.
  2. Experience providing administrative support in an academic, healthcare, or academic healthcare environment.
  3. Experience proofing, editing and drafting documents.
