SALARY AND BENEFITS:

 

The posted salary range represents the minimum to the midpoint within RVU’s compensation plan.   RVU’s full compensation structure provides a minimum to a maximum range.  The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill, knowledge, experience, education, and credentials.

Primary Purpose

The Associate Director of Admissions is the principal leader of the admissions process at RVU-Montana. This position is responsible for recruiting students, supporting applicants with instructional information, tracking of applications to ensure timely completion, directing the interview process, and ensuring the collection of all required matriculation documents.

Essential Job Functions

  1. Manage the day-to-day activities involved with the recruitment, selection, and matriculation of prospective students to the Montana College of Osteopathic Medicine and other programs at RVU-Montana.
  2. Manage the full spectrum of the admission process including recruitment, application, interview and matriculation processes. Works closely with the Admissions Committee and other departments within enrollment management to ensure a seamless matriculation process.
  3. In conjunction with RVU Information Systems develops an effective and efficient automated admissions process.
  4. Represent RVU-Montana at local and national venues in accordance to the RVU core values and demonstrate leadership to ensure excellent experiences for all student recruits and applicants.  
  5. Audit and reconcile all necessary application and matriculation requirements and documents with accuracy and efficiency. 
  6. Provide leadership to team with regular feedback, assessments, performance evaluations, and performance improvement measures. Assist in recruiting, developing, advancing and retaining staff.
  7. Develop and maintain positive relationships with pre-health advisors, career counselors, and other such personnel at other educational institutions.
  8. Ensure privacy, confidentiality with sensitive, controversial, and personal data of students and applicants as per university policies and other federal, state, local regulations.
  9. Provide regular reports on statistics, demographics, and survey responses to senior leaders.
  10. Serve as an active participant on various committees or task forces or other duties as assigned.

Marginal Job Functions

  1. Assist administration, faculty and staff in special projects as required.
  2. Act as liaison between RVU-Montana and other educational institutions and organizations as directed by the VP of Enrollment Management or the Assistant or Associate Dean of Student Affairs.
  3. Participate in RVU-Montana activities and other relevant community activities as an active member of the RVU team.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  1. Demonstrate knowledge of the admissions process.
  2. Demonstrate supervisory and mentoring skills.
  3. Demonstrate time management skills and organizational skills.
  4. Demonstrate excellent communication skills and established experience in public speaking and writing. Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality and security of information.
  5. Demonstrate proficiency in the use of computers, electronics, and software (Microsoft Office products, etc.) commensurate with the modern work environment.
  6. Demonstrate proficiency and professionalism in video conferencing, speaking, and training.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree.
  2. Multi-year experience in a college admissions department.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Multi-year experience in a supervisory role.
  2. Post-baccalaureate degree.
  3. Admissions experience at an accredited health sciences university or medical school.
