    Rocky Vista University in Parker, CO has an immediate opening for a

    Principal Faculty for the Physician Assistant Studies Program.

    PRIMARY PURPOSE: Faculty for the department of Physician Assistant Studies' main role is to deliver curriculum content for the MPAS program.  In addition, this position will participate in operations of the program as required by the accrediting body (ARC-PA).  This is a full-time position with salary and competitive benefits commensurate with experience and qualifications.




    1. Develop curricular content for the MPAS based on competency-based medical model, adhering to accreditation standards (ARC-PA), and aligned with program mission and goals
    2. Deliver curricular content within the PA program, including, but not limited to:
      1. Serving as course director
      2. Serving as lecturer, and/or small group facilitator
    3. Serve as student advisor to PA students, including serving as Clerkship Director in one or more clinically required courses


    1. Serve on PA program committees including, but not limited to:
      1. Admissions
      2. Curriculum
      3. Student Assessment and Promotions
      4. Program Evaluation
    2. Serve on institutional committees as appointed by the PA Program Director
    3. Participate in activities of state, regional, and national organizations to promote a positive image of the PA concept within academic, lay, and professional communities


    Administration:                                                                                                                ,

    1. Administrative duties as assigned and related to committee work within the PA program or institution; or duties specific to role within the PA program



    1. As a newly accredited program, with an innovative curriculum, there will be opportunities to participate in scholarly work in collaboration with PA team members 


    Perform other duties as assigned, and supporting the mission of the program and the university.



    1. ·Current clinical expertise in one or more curriculum content areas of the MPAS degree
    2. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team
    3. Demonstrated ability to adapt to change
    4. Proficient in Microsoft Office (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), academic (e.g. learning management systems such as Canvas, BlackBoard), and clinical systems (e.g. clinical tracking system (Typhon, Exxat), electronic health records



    1. Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
    2. Current license (or eligibility) to practice in Colorado
    3. Relevant Master’s degree or equivalent experience.
    4. Current license (or eligibility) to practice in Colorado



    1. Experience in delivering curriculum content to PA students (clinical or didactic)
    2. Recent clinical experience.



    Final applicant will be required to pass background check and drug screening.
